Krisztina Nemeth was born in Hungary. At the age of 17 she won the Classical Singing Competition "Helikon" in Keszthely (Hungary). In 1997 she won the Critics’Award at “La Reginetta della Canzone “ in Rimini (Italy). The jury was chaired by Mario Del Monaco. In 1997 Krisztina Nemeth released a solo CD, entitled “Krisztina”(1997) which was distributed on the Hungarian market. In 2000 Krisztina Nemeth graduated with highesthonors at The University of Music and Performing Arts of Graz (Austria) in "Instrumental-Gesangspaedagogik-Gesang". Some of her most renowned teachers are: Margit Jeremias (Bruxelles), Martin Kliettmann (Graz), Gerhard Kahry (Wien), Hanno Blaschke (Munich), Marianne Fischer-Kuper (Berlin), Aldo Danieli (Trieste), Carlo Striuli (Venice), Lucia Mazzaria (Treviso). She started her career as a mezzo-soprano, playing the roles of P. Orlovsky (J.Strauss, Der Fledermaus) and Zerlina (W. A.Mozart, Don Juan) in the Studio of the Nuernberg Opera Theatre (Germany). In Bayreuth – Germany and in Graz - Austria (Jugendfestspielen, Festival Canto Bayreuth, Gartenfestival Graz) she performed the role of Cherubino (W.A. Mozart, The Marriage of Figaro). From 2001 to 2004 Krisztina performed in an opera composed by Franz Hummel, entitled Ludwig II, in the leading role of Empress Sissiat the Neuschwanstein Theatre (Germany). Krisztina’s performance in this role was broadcast on the German state television ZDF. In 2002 she performed as Maria in the opera Moses in Egypt by Rossini at the Markgraeflichen Theatre in Bayreuth. In the summer of 2002 she sang in the role of Fenena in the Nabucco by G.Verdi in the opera theaters of Stuttgart, Passau and Hamburg (Germany). In 2003 she performed the role of Isaura in the opera Tancredi by Rossini at the Bayreuth Festival, which was recorded and published on a CDfor the German market. The summer of 2003 saw the final performance of Krisztina as mezzo-soprano at the Giuseppe Verdi Theatre of Trieste in the role of Public Opinionin Orpheus in the Underworld (J.Offenbach; Orfeo all’Inferno, on DVD in 2009, Fabbri Editori). From then on Krisztina continued her career as a soprano. She performed new roles in various theatres in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy, among others: Jemmy (Rossini; Guglielmo Tell) - Chur Theatre, Schweinfurt Theatre; First Woman, First Genie (Mozart; Die Zauberfloete), Stuttgart Theatre, Wiesbaden, Amphitheater Trier etc.; Synaide (Rossini; Moses in Egypt) Festspielhaus Erl, Opera of Aachen; Annina (J.Strauss; Eine Nacht in Venedig), Ludwigsburg; Floriana(F.Gervasio; Eden Cafè Chantant) Arena del Sole, Bologna (Italy). She also sang a vast repertoire of operettas (F.Lehar, E. Kalman, J. Strauss) in German, Italian, and Swiss theaters, including the tour (2002, 2003, 2005) with the ”Johann Strauss Gala” under the direction of W. Keitel, recorded by the first channel of the German state television ZDF in 2002. In 2006 Krisztina took part in the “Festival dell’Operetta” of Trieste with A. Binetti and D. Mazzuccato and again in 2008-2009 at the G.Verdi Theatre (Trieste, Italy). She also performed at the Festival “Nei Suoni dei Luoghi” with the programme “A tribute to E. Kalman”. She performed in chamber music concerts with accordion (A. Ipavec) and piano (music by A. Piazzolla) and also as a solo artist with an orchestra. In 2006 she started to work with harpist Emanuela Battigelli with whom she performed in concerts with the Lieder repertoire by F. Tosti, Z. Kodaly, R. Schumann and B. Britten, in Italy and abroad. From the very beginning of her career Krisztina has performed the repertoire of the Sacred and Oratory music. In January 2009, she sang as a solist with the orchestra of the Church of San Giusto in Trieste, Italy (H. Berlioz, P. Adam). Her performance was broadcast by the Italian state radio Rai3. In 2007 she started to work with the Italian composer Teho Teardo(winner of the “David di Donatello” and winner of the E. Morricone prize) and sang a song for the original soundtrackof the movie” La Rabbia” (directed by Louis Nero, 2008) which was also released on Cd (Warner Music Group Company 2008 ).
Krisztina Nemeth is a singer and a performer who is also passionate about contemporary music. This passion began during her studies in Austria when she sang J.Cage, Klang Licht Raum in Graz and Bayreuth; she also sang a composition by Joern Arnecke in Hamburg. In 2009 she began to work with the “Stazione di Topolò” Festival (Italy) and sang with Topolovska Minimalna Orkestra, Terry Riley “IN C”, at the Miela Theatre (Trieste), in Slovenia and in September 2010 in Milan (this performance was again broadcast live on Radio Rai 3). In July 2010 she sang at the première of “A tribute to Boris Pahor ” in Topolò (music composed by Dario Savron). In 1998 she started teaching singing, privately in Austria, and in 2006 at the Glasbena Matica school of Trieste. Since 2007 she has held “Master’s courses for young singers” in Clodig (Italy). In 2009 she staged the opera of W.A. Mozart “The Marriage of Figaro” and in 2010 the opera “Don Juan”. Krisztina teaches vocal techniques and scenic art, operas are staged and accompanied by piano; the direction and set designs are by Krisztina Nemeth.
After a wonderful career in the opera world, she felt she had to devote herself to composing her own music, through which she can express all that she is, hoping that people who listen to her music and sing her songs can enter a world where the heart opens and expands to Infinity. Her first music project, HRDAYA-HEART, is dedicated to children and young people, and is combined with a color book of handmade mandalas, designed by Francesca Grassi (www.krishan.it). In February 2012 she taught music and improvisation at the A.I.Y.B. (www.aiyb.it) in Milan. In June 2012 Krisztina started her business "Quinta Dimensione" (Fifth Dimension) in Trieste. In April 2013 her CD "Clouds Project- Il suono quantico" was released by Quantic Records with music composed by Krisztina and improvisations with percussionist Gabor Ölvedi and Antonella Macchion. She created other music projects - Equilibrium and Senseway. Since September 2013 Krisztina has devoted herself to mediumistic singingHealing Voice. She holds Healing Voice in group , individual sittings and workshops in Italy and abroad. In 2014 she published the CD “Healing Voice - Earth". Her first book “Healing Voice” (Healing Voice – The healing sound of mediumistic singing) published by Verdechiaro Edizioni is available from September 2014.
